Our Changing World

Do we change with the cultural changes to keep the growth of the church?  Some  indications are that it is a must for us to change with the cultural changes; as we know, cultural changes have been an issue for many centuries. But there are two sides to this issue! And we simply cannot ignore the other side and the dangers it presents.

Easing into the subtle changes that make us more "like" the world than more "Christ-like". We cannot make the changes to come to an understanding with the world without considering the dangers of such changes. So much of some of the changes appear to cater to indulgences of the passions; are you willing to admit that?

. I look around and see and hear immodest dress changes and immodest language usage; dress codes do not always have to be the same, but we should not indulge in fashion codes that are suggestive and immoral because we want to impress the world with our compromising Christian attitudes. Next comes the immoral language acceptance and immoral lifestyle acceptance. We are accepting the attitude of "hate the sin, but love the sinner".... which is a biblical concept .... but that does not mean that we accept that lifestyle and partake of their decadent way of life.

Rom_6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God Forbid!

Eph_2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.

We should be "striving to make someone realize the error of their ways, not giving in to them". We should respect LIFE, and we should respect marriage, and any and all of the "promises we make to each other", living honestlty before all men. We should live by the NATURAL lifestyles that God created us for. We should respect ALL of the teachings in the new Testament scripture as our guide to becoming more "Christ-like" in our lives.

No matter what century/culture we live in, we can and should strive to live according to the Will and Purposes that God has ordained that we should live by, even from the creation. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!. Christ came into this world to redeem mankind from the bonds of sin, and we should always be thankful and obedient for the opertunity to return to God under His Will through His Church as children.
