Following The Wind On A Wing

by Mary Wacaster

Summer is nigh;
The bees follow the flowers
Gently caressing each petal for its pollen.
Summer breezes blow;
And butterflies fluttering on wing
Gently follow the wind.
Summer sweets flow
For the creatures of the season
Made for the flow of life.

Summer days glow
As life giving rays
Bless the creatures bountifully.
Summer nights sigh
As night creatures sing a lullaby
In comforting notes of rest
As season follows season
Following the wind on a wing.
